Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and trustworthy Officer, Relationship Trust to join our esteemed financial institution in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships whilst ensuring the effective administration of trust accounts and estate planning services.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with trust clients and their families
- Provide expert advice on trust structures, estate planning, and wealth management strategies
- Analyse and assess clients' financial situations to recommend appropriate trust solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant trust laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Collaborate with legal and tax professionals to implement complex trust arrangements
- Monitor and review trust portfolios, making informed investment decisions
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and proposals to clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the trust portfolio
- Act as a key point of contact for high-net-worth individuals and families
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in trust management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional certifications in trust management or financial planning
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in trust management or related financial services
- In-depth knowledge of trust laws, regulations, and financial markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
- Proven track record in providing tailored trust and estate planning solutions
- Proficiency in financial software and tools used in trust management
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Understanding of investment strategies and portfolio management principles
- Familiarity with South African financial regulations and tax laws
