Job Description

As part of the Front-end Enablement team for IT Development you will collaborate with UX/UI Designers and with developers, to harmonize the front-end practices, technologies and deliveries across Statkraft IT in Norway, Germany, England, and India. 
You will be supporting our 30+ product teams by working with them through rotations based on needs. You will work closely with business users in many parts of the company and will learn a lot about producing, selling, and maintaining renewable power assets as well as types of analysis of everything from hydrology, power markets and preventive maintenance. You will contribute to make life easier for our users so that they can continue and speed up the important work they do.

We currently use Figma as our main design tool and have built a component library there that you will be expected to use and help develop and maintain.

About the team
The Frontend team consists of 6 UX designers and 8 frontend developers working within cross functional product teams. We work together one or two days a week on our design system and to help each other on our other topics. This community function very well, and we learn a lot from each other. It is good to know that there are people that will help you when you are facing a difficult problem.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible to redesign or design from scratch functionalities or whole applications.
  • From conducting user research to facilitate user testing, you will do wireframing and prototyping and iterate on them, supported by Statkraft Design System.
  • You will collaborate with the developers to ensure the feasibility of the implementation.
  • You will contribute to the Design System as a continuous work, for it to be up to date to our user needs, brand updates and design trends.
  • You will contribute to making the applications as consistent and usable as possible.
  • You will help the other members on the team.
     

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in UX Design or related field
  • 1+ year experience as a UX Designer
  • Clear knowledge of design system principles, implementation and evolution
  • Experience working in Agile (scrum/kanban) framework
  • Strong communication skills both in English and Norwegian
  • Experience with client interaction
  • Experience working in Figma
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience developing with Angular or React
    • Experience in the Energy industry
    • Experience with time series, process design and Data driven approaches
    • Graphical design education and/or experience
    • Experience working with people from other cultures
    • Previous knowledge of the Statkraft design system
