Job Description
Working in Group Treasury
Group Treasury function supports the business in reaching Statkraft’s overall objective of maximizing the long-term value creation and reducing the probability of financial stress. This is achieved through management of financial risks, maintaining financial flexibility, optimizing financing terms, secure net cash flows, and optimize cash management.
The department of Group Treasury has 47 employees across 6 units. You will be part of the Back Office & Risk Control team (TRB), which has 9 employees. We are responsible for settlement and administration of financial products, credit risk management and mandates control, controlling and reporting of financial items in the Group’s internal and external financial reports.
You will be responsible for system support and maintenance, as well as setting up accounting rules in our treasury systems: Treasury System (TS), TriResolve, and 360t. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective management of treasury financial instruments.
As a Senior Financial Systems Advisor, you will also:
- Lead the administration of Treasury’s systems: TS, TriResolve, and 360T.
- Manage system access, change management, and related processes for Treasury’s systems.
- Support and lead system changes, testing, and implementation for accounting and payment solutions.
- Assist TS users with troubleshooting and coordinate with both our internal IT team and vendor helpdesks to follow up on support cases as needed.
- Coordinate and perform month-end closing activities for TS.
- Collaborate with TRB controllers to maintain correct accounting rules and instructions in TS.
- Ensure effective use of TS for accounting and payment solutions by providing user training.
- Arrange stakeholder meetings for users of Treasury systems when necessary.
- Manage relationships with Treasury’s system vendors and schedule periodic follow-up meetings as needed.
- Oversee the integration of Treasury systems with other systems/solutions such as SAP, Nomentia, BizTalk, and RPAs.
Qualifications
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Systems Advisor to join our team with a genuine interest in controlling, automation, and process optimization.
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Master's or similar degree in finance and/or accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience from similar position in corporate treasury and/or banks
- Knowledge of financial instruments and treasury operations
- In-depth knowledge of accounting of financial instruments, both NGAAP and IFRS
- Advanced digital skills with system knowledge, such as Excel, SAP, PowerBI and Treasury systems
- Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
- Good communication and collaboration skills with an analytical mindset
- Structured, accurate, proactive, dutiful, and self-driven
- Able to handle tight deadlines and to work on several projects simultaneously
