The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.
We are currently looking to recruit a Document Control Manager to support the UK Project Delivery Team. The team is responsible for the project execution of large-scale infrastructure renewable projects of onshore wind, solar and battery storage across the UK. This position will report to the Delivery Director for the UK.
Job Description
As a Document Control Manager your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage Project Document Management Systems (SharePoint, Interaxo and Sceptre). Establish structures and processes, give access to new project members, remove old users and ensure correct access rights etc.
- Perform kick-off meetings to ensure that correct use of digital collaboration tool is demonstrated, educated, and agreed at project start-up and at other milestones in the project.
- Provide training in usage to company and contractor staff and provide user support with the document control systems.
- Develop and maintain interfaces with key project stakeholders including representatives from Statkraft, it’s contractors and consultants.
- Manage, monitor, quality assure and audit project document controlling routines from the initial development through to project completion and handover.
- Responsible for coordinating with all departments to assure that all projects’ documents are kept in the right place and in the right department file archive.
- Responsible for file validation and document controlling of electronic archives and where necessary paper archives
- Follow the document or numbering policy of the company
- Manage all the project documentation in a structured way
- Manage the document review and approval process, including processing document change requests and updates
- Ensure that documents are complete, accurate and in compliance with corporate procedures and/or ISO 9001 section 4.2.3
- Support and assure execution of information handover to operations
- Maintain relationship with the Corporate Project Management Office to ensure Irish practices are in line with corporate.
- Conduct additional tasks/duties as requested by the line manager.
- Manage and support other Document Controllers who may be hired to support specific projects.
- This role will be a member of the Document Manager Network in Statkraft where we share "lessons learned" and also the opportunity to come up with improvement proposals.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor, degree in related subject
- Experience in documentation and archiving or similar positions
- Fluent in English, both oral and in writing
- Proven skills in organisation, coordination and communication
- A strong work ethic with a systematic and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative. Must follow up and deliver on time according to set standards
- Ability to work in a multinational team and work across cultural differences, socially and technically
- Computer literate in MS Office applications
- Experience in construction projects is desirable
