Job Description

Lead the future of HR data governance and join our digital HR team for a one-year temporary position!

We are currently on an exciting journey of digital transformation in HR at Statkraft. Our team of seven dedicated professionals are responsible for the implementation and development of HR systems, HR analytics, and HR data governance. As our valued colleague, responsible for data governance and our HR integration hub goes on parental leave, we are looking for a temporary replacement for a one-year period, starting no later than June 2025 and continuing through summer 2026. Over the past year, we have revamped many of our HR system platforms to create better employee experiences at Statkraft. We have identified a need for stronger data ownership to ensure the accuracy, privacy, and security of our employee data. The Data Governance Lead has been pivotal in this work, and you will continue to establish and drive this area.

Your role:

  • Lead the establishment and implementation of the data governance framework in HR
  • Implement and maintain the HR data governance framework according to the data governance policies in Statkraft
  • Ensure that data governance initiatives align with HR strategy, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements
  • Keep data governance policies updated, accessible, and applied across the HR function
  • Drive HR data quality efforts and improvements
  • Communicate data governance initiatives and policies to stakeholders and coordinate with HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment
  • Lead and deliver data governance improvement projects and initiatives
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure cohesive data governance efforts in HR
  • Lead the data governance model in HR and promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability by example providing training to support data stewards, data custodians and other team members in their roles of governance and management of data
  • Secure data quality and compliance by monitoring data quality, implement measures to address issues, and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Be an advocate for data governance best practice across HR processes, operations and within projects
  • Own the product backlog for HR Integration hub and lead change or improvements request on HR data and/or data flow between HR systems through our integration hub
  • Be product owner for certain HR products to ensure its developed according to business needs 

 

Qualifications

We are looking for someone that is has a genuine interest in people, technology, and master data. You have a master’s degree and some years’ experience working with master data in a function, and proven experience in the data governance area and thus, know how to drive and establish it. You like to work across disciplines as you here will work closely with many stakeholders in HR, IT, finance, and compliance to establish the area. You like to develop and establish at the same time as delivering and working agile to achieve your goals. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy. You have good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data governance policies and initiatives to various stakeholders. While an HR background is advantageous to understand HR data, relevant experience in Finance, IT, or information security is also valuable.
