Job Description

Short version 

Who are you? You are a user-focused Angular front-end expert, who strives to understand your craft, your tools and your users. You can work on your own but also know that working together with UX designers and backenders will produce the best results. 

Tech stack? Angular, Typescript, CSS. Ag grid, Highcharts, Statkraft design system. (You will also be part of the team that makes the Statkraft design system.) 

Role? Frontend developer in one of our 30 agile product teams, with opportunity for rotations. 

Location? Lysaker outside Oslo, Norway.

The Role 

As an Angular Developer in Statkraft's Frontend Enablement team, you will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and fellow developers to streamline front-end practices and technologies across Statkraft’s IT teams in Norway, Germany and England. Working as part of an agile product team, you will help deliver innovative products to business specialists, shaping the future of renewable energy technology. 

You will work directly with business users across the company, gaining deep insights into renewable energy production, sales and asset maintenance and more. From analyzing hydrology data to power market trends and predictive maintenance of our power producing assets. Your work will make a real impact by enhancing the tools our users rely on daily to accelerate their important work. 

In this role, you will use Angular, with Typescript, to build web applications, ensuring high-quality code with comprehensive test coverage, especially for our design system. As an Angular developer, you will be focusing on the Angular ecosystem. 

About the front-end team 
Our Front-end team consists of 6 UX designers and 8 frontend developers. We sit together one full day a week to collaborate on our design system, help each other and exchange ideas, creating a supportive environment where learning and teamwork thrive. When you face a challenging problem, there is always someone to lend a hand. 

What are your key responsibilities? 

  • Proactively shape Statkraft’s digital future with the rest of the front-end enablement team 
  • Participate in the development and use of our design system 
  • Cooperate with designers to implement user interfaces and user experiences that are intuitive and visually appealing.   
  • Maintain and develop a product, together with the business users as part of an agile team to deliver value often. 
  • Actively participate in the team’s ritual, (standups, plannings, reviews, retros). 
  • Work together with the rest of the scrum team to help prioritize nonfunctional requirements and reduce the technical debt in the products. 
  • Keeping yourself updated 
  • Manage code repositories and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. 

Qualifications

What are your qualifications? 

  • 5+ years of experience with the Angular framework. 
  • Proficiency in Typescript. 
  • Master's degree in computer science. 
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile (scrum) teams. 
  • Solid experience in frontend testing. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English. 

What would be nice for you to have? 

  • Proficiency in Norwegian. 
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design and design systems. 
  • Experience with Python and/or time series data. 
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices. 
  • Proficiency in React
