Job Description

Instructional Designers in this role get to:

  • Develop training materials: Script training content. Review and apply required changes to meet standards. Communicate with SME to validate changes. Collaborate with the project team to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in implementation: Schedule and deliver train-the-trainer sessions. Identify the items that need to be available before, during, and after training and receive confirmation from the training delivery owner that all technologies and facility requirements are enabled or prepared.
  • Conduct training evaluation: Evaluate the training to determine if the objectives were met using Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation. Check L1-L4 results, lessons learned, and implementation issues log.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you must:

  • Have expertise in the ADDIE and SAM process, Bloom's Taxonomy, and other relevant instructional models
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience in writing training materials
  • Have strong facilitation and classroom management skills (preferred but not required)
  • Know adult learning principles, constructivism, and other learning theories
  • Have experience developing multiple projects at one time successfully, even when those projects may fall outside of core responsibilities
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers, driving diverse workgroups to collaborative solutions
  • Have a strong interest and commitment to customer satisfaction and delivering world-class customer service
  • Develop required materials as stipulated in the project's statement of work (classroom training, virtual training, self-paced, or e-learning courses)
  • Evaluate the training to determine if the objectives were met using Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in customer or technical support service or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment
  • Have a bachelor's or college degree with a minimum of two years experience in a learning and development environment focusing on training curriculum design, development, and delivery (equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above)
