Job Description
The Onion is seeking a VP of Accounts to lead and manage client engagements and our internal Account Management team. The VP will be responsible for the overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy completion of our client’s advertising and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day client relationship, including articulating our view on digital advertising philosophies
- Take a large role in supporting new business initiatives
- Have in-depth understanding of client’s industry and customer needs
- Deliver strategic client presentations and recommendations
- Take ownership of the financials for clients including forecasts, budgets and investments
- Leverage marketing expertise across media, developing interactive strategy experience
- Identify key customer insights that drive creative and marketing deliverables
- Actively establishes, grows, and sustains senior-level client relationships
Qualifications
- An excellent communicator with interpersonal and problem-solving skills; who has solid analytical and organizational skills, along with effective communication and presentation skills.
- At least 10 years experience in Marketing / Advertising industry, preferably within an agency environment, minimum of 5 years experience in management/supervisory role.
- Must have a proven track record for success leading and growing client relationships.
- Prior experience with Fortune 500/multi-million dollar clients.
- Proactive, results driven and a “Big Picture” visionary.
- Solid analytical and organizational skills.
