Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The Student Services Function Review was tasked with designing a new service delivery model for the student services function that provides the building blocks for student success. This went live in April 2022 and the focus is now on the transition to the new model. We are on the search for an Internal Communications Advisor to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will work with our transition manager to support communications needs of the function and deliver communications plans that support understanding and implementation of key changes and service improvements over the next year. Create content for different initiatives across the business whilst ensuring they meet organisational needs. Along with this, stakeholder management is going to be key, working in this role will mean developing and maintain these relationships to create outcomes.
A few other responsibilities are:
- Ability to develop strategic communications plans for multiple audiences. i.e. objectives, key messages, timing, channels and detailed roll-out plan.
- Interpret and translate information so it is relevant for the audience
- Ensure all content is on brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice and optimised for search
This is a Full Time role 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. The salary range for this role is $64,600 – $79,800 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will be creative and have strong organisation and time management skills along with strong attention to detail. Using your strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiating and influencing will come as second nature.
Along with this you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in journalism, publishing or editing.
- 3-4 years’ experience in SEM, SEO, web analytics and social media.
- At least five years’ experience in writing, editing and publishing, including writing for the web.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
