Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Alumni Relations and Development office is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Phone and Stewardship Campaigns) to join the team.

Reporting to the Annual Giving Manager, the primary focus of this position is to run the University’s in-house Alumni Outbound Phone Appeal programme.  This programme raises funds for scholarships, student support and other vital areas from the annual giving donor pool and they also increase alumni and student engagement. This role will also assist in stewardship and the recruitment of sustainable donors through stewardship activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the in-house Outbound Alumni Phone Appeal Programme - creation, implementation, strategy, recruitment , training and leadership of student callers.
  • Creating and Reporting on KPIs related to the Phone Appeal Programme
  • To work with the Annual Giving Manager to research and implement recruitment opportunities for sustainable donors.
  • Relationship building and stewardship of donors.
  • Researching and reporting back on Annual Giving donor impact

Please note this is a permanent, full time (37.5hours/ week) position with a salary range of $65,000 - $72,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

He kōrero mōu | About you

Two or more years fundraising, call centre or face-to-face fundraising or project management experience and a relevant tertiary qualification required. You will need to be positive, self-directed and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  You will have the ability to lead a team, to manage conflicting priorities, coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced university environment and the flexibility to work outside normal office hours during campaigns.
