Job Description
Overview:
The (Parts Room Clerk) will assist in maintaining Parts Room inventory control (inventory levels, cycle counts, etc.), parts Issuing/receiving, stocking items and parts delivery as per the department standard operating procedures. Will also assist with mechanical work per supervisors request.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Receive shipments as needed
- Perform cycle counts
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Customer service and clerical duties
- Parts kitting and delivery to departments
- Product labeling and packaging
- Issuing parts to customers.
- Creating daily reports for supervisors
- Organization of parts
- Various other parts room activities
- Monitor / Correct Invoices
- Various Mechanical Tasks
Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 months of parts room experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledgeable in parts and mechanics
- Knowledgeable of Oracle system
- Forklift certified a plus
- Bilingual preferred. Not required
- Valid Drivers License
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
