Wonderful Agency is the award-winning in-house agency that operates as the exclusive creator of marketing communications and brand experiences for FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, JUSTIN, Landmark, and Lewis Cellars wines, Teleflora, and more.

We are seeking a laser-focused Proofreader for temporary project support. Temporary assignments will range from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. The Proofreader will be responsible for ensuring that agency-generated content is 100% error-free, of the highest quality, and aligned with each brand’s voice and style.

The proofreading department at Wonderful Agency is a lean, tight-knit team that sees literally everything for each of Wonderful’s brands, from a new Teleflora holiday campaign to the reboot of “Get Crackin’” for Wonderful Pistachios. The work spans all channels and levels – printed collateral, newsletters, advertising, and packaging; campaign presentation decks; TV commercials; websites; and much more.

This role will report to the proofreading manager and will be based in our West Los Angeles office, working within our hybrid schedule. This role will also support on a project basis for assignments ranging from a few days to a few weeks. 

Job Description

  • Ensure everything that crosses your desktop and screen is 100% error-free
  • Work with copywriters, designers, and brand teams to ensure that all communications and materials stay faithful to each brand’s voice
  • Communicate with the project managers to make sure project deadlines are met
  • Follow departmental copy style guides provided by the proofreading manager

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of proofreading experience in an advertising, marketing, or similar environment with B2B and/or B2C communications
  • Thorough knowledge of AP style
  • BA in English or writing, or 5+ years of commensurate work experience
  • Excellent proofreading skills, unearthly attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume periods
  • Confidence using a Mac, tracking changes in Microsoft Word, and using built-in markup tools in Adobe Acrobat Pro and online portals such as ClickUp, Ziflow, and Figma
  • Ability to grasp, track, and apply styles consistently across all channels of communication for multiple brands
  • Ability to read Spanish and/or French is a plus but not necessary

Pay Rate: $35.00-38.00/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
