Job Description
This individual is responsible for supporting the administration of our HR policies, procedures and programs. Day to day operations include: Auditing of Core HCM systems, data analysis, reporting, HRIS process testing and review, HRIS and other HR systems data management, ZenDesk management and other related tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
HR Systems/Data
- Successfully implements HR system processes. Ensures network-wide adoption of policies and programs by responding to feedback and assisting implementation.
- Owns Data management in customer ticketing system (Zendesk) with; monthly reporting presentations to key stakeholders, Dashboard creation, data analysis to inform best practice and action steps for HR Team
- Educates and supports staff to facilitate an understanding of new functions, policies or protocols; communicates and documents processes clearly and consistently.
- Performs testing in Workday, Uncommon’s HRIS, to diagnose and assist in the resolution of business process issues, changes or reconfigurations.
- Owns key work streams/audits in annual E/SOY (end of year) process.
- Assesses adherence to and compliance of process requirements to achieve operational excellence.
- Performs daily/weekly maintenance and analysis of HR data in HRIS platform and HR systems.
- Evaluates workstreams and system business processes; makes data-driven recommendations for improvements and sees through to implementation.
- Troubleshoots functional and system issues in a timely manner, escalating to the Systems team as necessary.
HR Support
- Provides daily HR support to our employees and managers, using customer service ticketing systems (Zendesk), knowledge library, and other resources.
- Assists HR team leaders with reporting through HRIS
- Supports reporting from HRIS to cross functional teams for compliance, state reporting and internal audits
Qualifications
Required
- 2-3 years of work experience; 1-2 years of directly related experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively
- Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate an appropriate sense of importance
- Keen attention to details
- Strong employee focus and an ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google suite of products
- Proficient in HRISs, ideally Workday

- Outstanding judgment, sensitivity, and high discretion
- Curiosity about education/charter schools a plus
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Above average proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google suite

Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $67,300 to $79,200.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. If you meet all job description requirements you will likely receive an offer of between $67,300 and $71,300.
