Job Summary:
An integral part of the Order Management Team, the Order Processing Associate helps to uphold Valley Forge Fabric’s commitment of exceeding our Customer’s expectations for on-time and accurate delivery of our products by entering and processing purchase orders.  

The day-to-day:

• Accurately and efficiently enters an average of 15-25 new customer orders received via email, fax, into the system daily.
• Verifies accuracy of purchase order details including customer account information, shipping instructions, item ID, want date and ship date, and any other instructions that apply to the overall order as well as the individual line items.
• Calculates customer lead times and ship dates.
• Scan all orders into the system for record and end of day reporting
• Sets up and assigns item numbers and warehouses into system.
• Confirms stock availability with VFF warehouses as well as stocking vendors.
• Performs other related task as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience processing purchase orders is preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in a role requiring strong data entry and typing skills is required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Must be comfortable working with Excel, extra brownie points if you have experience with Salesforce CRM and Syspro ERP
