We’re looking for a Control System Support Engineer to join the control and electrical team. This person will provide customer support as a priority, working closely with the customer service department and also participate in the development of new products, modifications of current products and support to manufacturing when required.

• Provide technical support to the internal customers as a priority. This includes remote support from the offices, telephone support when required and as a last resort, local site support.
• Help develop tools to improve our customer service department while also reducing issues.
• Provide technical support for the assembly and FAT testing of units in the workshop. 
• Work on specific projects to implement customer requirements.
• Participate in new development of standard products or modifications of existing products.

Main tasks – Technical Customer Support

Provide technical support to our customers in the field of electrical, control and instrumentation for the whole Solys portfolio. Develop and improve tools to increase our response time and reduce issues.

Secondary tasks

– Fabrication Support: Fabrication phase : Support the electrical fitters when required about sensor connections, decide on the best way to route cables.

Testing phase : Support the Factory acceptance test team when required, train the personnel on new systems.

– Project Execution: Modify standard documentation and PLC software to adapt them to the customers requirements.

– Product development and changes: Develop new PLC software and documents, using the latest technology and improvement for new machines or updates to older models.

Profile required (skills, languages, etc.):

• Educational background : Control Engineer
• Language:  The candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish (is Mandatory)
• More than 3 years experience in a similar position 
• Specific knowledge and experience: Siemens PLC (TIA Portal), Codesys, Communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet)

• A logical approach to problem solving
• An ability to document work accurately is required 
• Security and confidentiality is a vital part of development work and the position is subject to the signing of a confidentiality agreement
• Good IT culture (comfortable with different OS environments, basic network knowledge, and basic hardware knowledge)
