Position Purpose:
The IS&T Sr Business Applications Specialist works within teams to transform business needs into solutions, whether these solutions result in product configurations, product developments, training or process recommendations. The IS&T Business Applications Specialist works on projects for new needs as well as operations to identify and improve current processes and systems.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand the business context and business objectives of the project.
- Works with Product/Business Owners, Project Management and Technical Staff to perform analyses related to the implementation of new or revised business processes and/or new or enhanced internally developed software or third-party vendor software.
- Determines appropriate sizing of requirements and breaks down larger scope into smaller pieces if needed.
- Gathers and documents functional business requirements to be consumed by the business and technical teams for non-custom development projects.
- Prepare stakeholders analysis and deliver the RACI matrix.
- Prepare and facilitate workshops with stakeholders, in collaboration with other team members.
- Elicit the actual needs of stakeholders; 8. Analyze and synthesize information provided by stakeholders.
- Analyze the gaps between the current solution and the proposed solution.
- Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify the integration of multiple systems, applications, and platforms.
- Collaborate with software architects, UX designers, and cross functional development teams.
- Produce quality deliverables such as scope of work, business requirement document, process workflows, specifications document, test plans, and training plans.
- Manage the requirements lifecycle with traceability from business requirements to testing.
- Define and validate solutions that meet business needs, goals, or objectives.
- Participate in the evaluation and benchmarking of market solutions when required.
- Support the Project or Delivery Manager in the planning and execution of the project or initiative.
- Prepare and execute the different test scenarios (functional and integration).
- Manage UAT phase before deployment.
- Assist project teams during the implementation of solutions.
- Deliver trainings and documentation.
- Provide hypercare support postdelivery.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in administration or computer science or a related field.
- Bilingualism (French and English) oral and written is a plus.
- 12+ Years of experience with a minimum of 10 years of SAP Finance / Controlling / Project Systems / SAP support experience at least 1 end to end implementation project.
- Work experience in the Project System and RAR is mandatory for this position.
- Experience in external tax engines(One Source /Vertex) will be a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP business transformation platform will be a plus.
- A previous implementation experience of a S/4 Hana solution will be a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud will be a plus.
- Experience in Agile projects (an asset).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Work with business to support procurement and sales business requirements gathering and to translate Statement of Requirement into design for SAP Finance / Controlling and Project applications.
- Work with other value streams to identify integration touch points for SAP Finance / Controlling / Project Systems.
- Participate and coordinate the business partner team and Veolia cross domain teams in the fit gap analysis during the blueprint phase and during the deployment readiness phases.
- Responsible for developing high quality functional specifications for all custom enhancements, custom objects and work closely with the technical development team to ensure accurate and timely code that matches the designs.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Integrations and Data teams on field mapping and design of interfaces with the non-SAP applications / legacy systems.
- Perform system configuration and manual set up needed to implement the solution for the SAP Financials / Controlling / Projects functionalities.
- Comprehending and performing complex configuration tasks and testing in the areas of Finance (FI)-General ledger ,Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable and Asset accounting ,Controlling (CO), Project Systems (PS); resolving complex user reported issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the creation and ongoing review of training materials for initial design and future changes.
- Troubleshooting tax related issues with external tax engines.
- Work with the business process owners and business data teams to support data cleansing and data conversion activities for SAP financials / Material Management.
- Researching the SAP system, OSS, ASUG, and other resources for solutions to business requirements and the implementation of new business process improvements. Researching new technologies and functionalities, making recommendations on their use at MSA.
- Support the cutover activities and troubleshooting during the releases and hyper-care period.
- Effective communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills and demonstrated supervisory skills are highly desired.
- Solid computer skills : proficiency with spreadsheet, email, and word processing software required; Google suite preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- SAP certification is desired.
