This role is within the Technology Planning & Business Operations organization which provides key strategic planning & business operations oversight and integration across the Technology organization. This includes driving investment planning & budgeting, project & portfolio management, workforce planning activities, strategic initiative program management, and communications activities. The team is focused on improving efficiencies, transparency, consistency and collaboration within the Technology organization and other key cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Description
Reporting to the SVP, Technology Planning and Business Operations, this position is responsible for executing a 12-24 month agile transformation of the Technology Organization, working closely with our Global Product and Finance counterparts to perform the transformation at an Enterprise level from a people, process and tools perspective.
This position involves leading and managing a complex set of transformation initiatives that are critical for successful transformation of the Organization. The individual must be able to engage and manage multiple stakeholder groups, prioritize deliverables and navigate a matrixed global organization.
Responsibilities
Leverage agile expertise to develop and implement agile practices across the Visa organization.
Establish agile center of excellence to support transformation.
Take accountability for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering transformational initiatives often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
Design and deliver stakeholder communications
Create and maintain the overall transformation roadmap
Initiate work on important projects and work streams supporting the overall transformation
Work with Technology leaders to deconstruct issues, developing solutions, assigning accountability, and following through to conclusion
Bring ideas and structure to problems using experience, while understanding Visa’s regulatory environment
Provide thought leadership by translating strategic priorities into tangible project goals for the team, identifying the right team structure and solving escalated issues as they occur
Independently frame issues, develop recommendations, and advocate for decisions in a fact-based manner in presentations to senior leadership teams
Coach functional teams on new ways of doing business and influence them for a sustainable shift in behaviors and mindsets
Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders; represent the project in various project governance and inter-department forums and publishes periodic project status reports
Ensure effective engagement throughout the program with sponsoring teams to allow for seamless transition of new capabilities into ‘Business As Usual’ operational mode.
Qualifications
10+ years of accelerated professional growth in leading companies, with a track record of increasing levels of responsibility and accomplishments
Extensive experience in leading and implementing large scale Enterprise-agile transformation with success record in using SAFe as a framework of reference
Experience in software development or related business
Strong acumen of Financial Services industry, including regulatory requirements
Reputation as a thought leader able to advocate a point of view, consider alternatives, and move the group to a decisive conclusion
Experience establishing, leading and successfully completing transformative efforts that lead to measurable results.
Track record of being given responsibility for driving organizational change and guiding cross functional teams
Established reputation for building peer like relationships with leaders in a large, complex organization, and being able to communicate and influence groups with highly developed communication skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives at once in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. Calm under pressure and comfort with problem solving ambiguity
Is trusted by senior leaders to provide a candid view of “what is really going on.”
Demonstrates high empathy and employee-centric view of change
Demonstrated ability to build momentum for change and carrying the team across the finish line in making it happen.

Travel Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 10% of the time.
Work Hours
Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
