CyberSource, owned by Visa, is a scheme agnostic credit card payment management platform with a strong ecommerce heritage and a growing face-to-face business. Customers process payments, streamline fraud management and simplify payment security.  The CyberSource platform supports merchants across the globe and across a wide range of industries.   Merchants range from SMB through enterprise and distribution is both direct and indirect through acquirers and ISVs.

CyberSource works closely with the Visa Merchant Sales and Acquiring team. This team drives growth in the acceptance of Visa payment products via relationships with prominent, selected key merchant clients and acquirers - specifically via business development and sales efforts aimed at ensuring transaction and payment volume growth and the development of Visa’s brand, reputation and business presence. The team is also responsible for understanding and communicating local market needs in order to effectively and efficiently define market specific strategies to support the local market teams to develop card acceptance capabilities and provide merchant solutions to meet the evolving payments ecosystem.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated leader who will define and manage a team to deliver the strategy of CyberSource in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. He/She will be part of the leadership team of Visa in those countries and as such will guarantee alignment of CyberSource programs with the activities of Visa.

He/She will deliver strategic thought leadership, a consultative approach to resolve client / prospective client needs and optimize commercial outcomes. The Business Development Senior Director is a field sales position that will drive the expansion of CyberSource in the France, Belgium and Luxembourg cluster. The incumbent must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with clients and across the Visa/ CyberSource organization.

·       As a strong people manager, he/she will manage and develop the CyberSource direct sales team for France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

  • Define strategy of CyberSource in France, Belgium and Luxembourg in alignment with the leadership team of Visa in those countries
  • Drive, develop, manage and win a pipeline of acquiring solution and direct platform revenues from current clients and new prospects.
  • Establish and maintain positive, beneficial and constructive relationships with key acquirers and merchants through provision of valuable business solutions through CyberSource platform solutions including Visa capabilities.  Develop detailed segment and account plans
  • Provide local leadership to the CyberSource team based in France.  Role requires direct client engagement as well as team leadership – “Player/coach” model
  • Be a member of the CyberSource Europe Regional Leadership Team representing the French team to the RLT and ensuring alignment of the French team with the European strategy
  • Represent local market needs and insights to the CyberSource marketing and product organizations as well as relay insights and solutions from other geographies to CyberSource and MS&A FBL teams to optimize against best practices
  • Lead the CSE with the support of HR, ensure coordination and information for legal and finance departments
  • Be the spokesperson for Cybersource in France, Belgium and Luxembourg during industry events and with the media
  • Be a member of the Visa FBL Merchant Sales & Acquirers Leadership Team ensuring close collaboration and alignment between CyberSource and MS&A
  • Collaborate with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, analytics, risk, innovation) and across global and regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of CyberSource and Visa’s resources
  • Produce insights and analyses to improve client performance, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic insights
  • Proactively engage with clients in regular strategic & planning discussions to increase client market share and revenues

Qualifications

  • We are looking for with a versatile people manager with a strong sales and account management experience along with deep eCommerce, payments and consulting expertise to engage merchant and acquirer clients in the CyberSource platform adoption and activation through a solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience carrying a P&L
  • People management experience
  • Srong knowledge of the payment ecosystem in France, Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to identify and close multiple complex opportunities and deals
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration capabilities across a global matrixed organization
  • Deep expertise in digital, technology and/or acquiring required
  • Track record of completing, presenting and winning RFPs and RFIs as well as driving implementation of scale win deployment projects
  • Work closely with our Product Management and marketing teams to maintain technical and functional knowledge of existing and new products, competitors and sales “plays”
  • Actively contribute to the evolving business and product strategy
  • Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Executive presence including excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
  • Ability to speak in public and to media
  • Fluency in French and English

  • Track record of success in B2B Sales & Account Management
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in eCommerce and/or fraud solution experience within the French payments sector
  • Experience and understanding of the needs of the Luxury Goods sector
