Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The NA Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers in the United States. We apply deep expertise in the banking, payments & analytics industry to provide impactful to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.

The VCA team is looking for a Sr Manager to join our Community, Processors and GSPs segment and play a role in driving sales excellence. This position will support client sales and delivery teams ensuring that there are processes, tools, and resources in place to drive efficiencies and consistency across all territories. The right candidate is a self-starter, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.  The candidate possesses an incredible ability to partner well with others and drive projects forward.

Specific responsibilities include:

Product Management:

  • Solutions Strategy and Liaison - Collaboration and engagement with consulting and solutions teams to develop and managed scaled solutions that drive business for the Community, Processor and GSP teams. This will include a lens for a variety of needs within this diverse segment: For example, resell strategy and execution, subscription offerings
  • Set-Play Management – Managing efforts to develop and maintain set-plays that help drive efficiency for the Community engagement teams.
    • Manage the pre-approved pricing process, which includes identifying resource needs to build up pricing, and then coordinating review and approvals as required
    • Coordination with operations team
    • Developing and maintaining project materials, such as basic project plans and delivery templates that make it easy for delivery teams to pick up a project and run even if it’s their first time on that type of engagement
  • Program Management to support Visa’s strategic initiatives including
    • Strategy and planning, ideation, prioritization and implements of projects, coordination with key stakeholders across Visa
    • Providing oversight of VCA initiatives to support delivery
    • Day-to-day program management, reporting, escalations and facilitation of program decisions
  • Sales Library Ownership – Develop and maintain library of materials that enable the sales team to quickly build presentations to drive VCA sales.
    • Organize and maintain a library of business development materials inclusive of sales pitch, proposals, case studies, proposals, BIA templates, etc.
    • Identification and development of new content in collaboration with client leads and practices

Program Management:

  • Delivery Hub Coordination – Maintaining oversight and documentation as to the coordination of efforts for Delivery Hub efforts.
    • Coordination of engagements flowing from Sales Team to Delivery Team to ensure visibility for which clients are to receive which solutions and target dates and support securing staffing resources as needed
    • Maintaining records across multiple platforms to ensure sales pipeline is accurate
    • Providing communication to both teams as to status updates, and ensuring sales teams are looped back in for client delivery
    • Serving as a liaison between teams to ensure templates are kept up-to-date and reflective of key storylines and appropriate client recommendations/action items
  • Community Outreach Event Coordination – Providing support for various Community outreach events that VCA participates in throughout the year. This includes state sales conventions, lunch & learns, client roundtables and the like.
    • Developing and maintaining a short list of materials that client leads can leverage for speaking opportunities and 1:1 sessions with clients at various conventions/forums
    • Coordination of logistics between client lead, AE, and event team
    • Planning for the event to ensure VCA has appropriate opportunities to drive business, we have materials for presentations or meetings along with any approvals, and support logistics for any meeting invitations, etc.
    • Reporting on success for events along with any recommendations to refine the program in the future

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly energized, detail-oriented individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to clients support the growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple tasks, have demonstrated experience closing sales, and understand the debit/credit payments space and nuances within the Regional client segment.

This is an individual contributor role reporting into a Senior Director within VCA.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Relevant experience at large management consulting firm or US Financial Institution
  • Payments/Financial Services experience
  • Strong Analytical/Quantitative Background
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance. Significant focus on impacting ROI
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing experience
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills

  • Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 125,500 to 192,750 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
