Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert of the end-to-end contract management process for various contract types, for all Latin American countries including reviewing deal terms, drafting agreements based on our templates, managing the negotiation process, and executing such agreement.
- Ensure timely and accurately compliance with our contracts’ processes and procedures including record filing, database management, data points reporting, etc.
- Collaboration with our main stakeholders including legal, finance, products, auditing, and other support teams.
- Work closely with management, other team members and stakeholders to help achieve key business objectives.
- Train/guide stakeholders on our processes and procedures.
- Manage special assignments as needed.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
We are looking for an individual who brings breadth of experience, a curiosity about payments, is results-driven and client-focused.
As a candidate, you should have:
- Required Education: Bachelors. Preferred: J.D. from accredited law school highly or equivalent experience, if not J.D., an Advanced Degree in specific applicable field (e.g., MBA, Masters in Finance, Analytics, etc.).
- 3+ years extensive previous contract drafting experience required
- Fluent in English and, strongly desirable, fluent in Portuguese.
- Relevant and transferable experience at a Fortune 500 or large-scale corporation or law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, great interpersonal and negotiation skills, proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management.
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision, and engage directly with senior executive management and leaders across various functions throughout Visa.
- Manages well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Required).
- Previous experience with Salesforce, Apttus or similar contract management software, and DocuSign or e-signature tools.
- Background, knowledge, and experience with some or all of the following is preferred: the payment services industry and related credit and debit processing industries, banking and financial institutions laws and regulations, and/or antitrust and competition law, technology and digital payments, fintech.
