Job Description
The Latin America (LAC) Benefits Analyst will support the day-to-day activities of benefits administration for the region. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of LAC benefits project management, administration and compliance. This individual will collaborate closely with other members of the benefits team, along with members of HR (Global and local), Finance, Legal and Corporate Services. They will also work closely with our third-party administrators and consultants.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the various in-country supplemental benefit plans offered to employees in the regional offices (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life, education reimbursement, retirement, etc.)
- Ensure all health and wellness programs and activities comply with local labor rules and regulations, including the distribution of any legally required documents
- Provide accurate and timely operational support, including data reconciliation with payroll and our benefit administrators and payment of invoices from third party benefit providers
- Support the relationship with benefit vendors and brokers across LAC in activities related but no limited to contracting, renewals and payment process
- Assist in renewal strategy (i.e., health and life insurance) for LAC including analysis and provision of data
- Identify ways to continuously improve operational processes including but not limited to the activities listed above
- Collaborate with the People Solution team, equipping them to respond and resolve AskHR benefits related employee queries across LAC and conducting ongoing benefit plan education
- Consultation with employees on Benefits related programs such as planning special leaves like maternity
- Lead any benefits-related changes in Workday including User Acceptance Testing as needed
- Manage any benefits related calculation/reimbursements as required across LAC
- Assist in developing content for benefits communications and maintaining benefit plan web content
- In partnership with the Wellness team, support coordination of onsite employee benefit/wellness or communication activities across LAC, as needed
- Assist in benefits benchmarking exercise as needed
- Support the set-up of new countries’ benefits administration process, as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 5+ years' experience in HR/benefits program support, Latin America (LAC) region knowledge preferred
- Fluent in English. Portuguese is a plus
- Strong analytic and risk analysis skills
- High degree of flexibility and ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
- Ability to produce results with little direction
- Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills and strong attention to detail
- Desire to work with others in a team atmosphere
- Ability to produce in a fast-paced working environment
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, experience with ADP and Workday a plus
- Knowledge benefits management tools (e.g. from Mercer/AON/WTW) highly desirable
