Job Description

The VisaNet Expansion leader will drive the strategy for Visa’s processing platforms and major enhancements needed to extend Visa’s reach and performance in key growth markets and verticals. They will be responsible for ensuring new client segments can leverage the network to drive the next phase of exponential digital commerce growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the VisaNet processing platform strategy, roadmap and execution of capabilities targeted at key growth markets and verticals
  • Drive execution of processing performance programs ensuring they continue to generate positive outcomes for sellers, consumers and clients across key segments and verticals
  • Assess country specific requirements to determine best approach for domestic processing to comply with local requirements while also optimizing the long-term approach for the ecosystem, client and Visa. 
  • Assess vertical specific acceptance needs across Visa key growth pillars, solution the capabilities and enhancements required and translate them into platform features for delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into platform features for delivery. 
  • Mobilise key value streams for VisaNet expansion, organise the cross functional teams around the mission/strategy including Visa business functions, Technology and Open VisaNet team and Product groups to drive cohesive roadmap delivery.
  • Ensure the alignment of platform enhancements with broader organizational goals and strategies.
  • Work closely with clients, regulators, government officials, other key industry standard forums to represent Visa, keeping in mind Visa’s strategic objectives and influencing agenda and priorities.
  • Partner closely with legal, regulatory teams to ensure compliance with Visa policies, procedures, as well as relevant domestic and international regulations.
  • Lead product managers in designing, developing, and implementing platform enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of platform improvements and make necessary adjustments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to ensure the platform remains competitive and client-focused.
  • Represent Visa at client sites as needed, partnering internally and externally with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Visa policies, procedures, as well as relevant domestic and international regulations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and mutual respect.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 8 years relevant work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
• 15 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD) or expanding leadership roles with experience in product and solution management.
• Extensive experience in the Visa or payments industry, with a deep understanding of product development and strategy.
• Proven executive leader with a track record of driving innovation in the processing platform capabilities, shaping the future of payment technologies.
• Expert-level payments technical acumen, including deep knowledge of payments messaging interfaces, protocols and industry standards.
• Strong ability to influence C-level stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment on product and platform innovation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 247,300 to 386,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
