Vlocity, Inc. is building out our Quality Engineering organization from the ground up to create world-class test automation systems and processes to test our enterprise web applications for Salesforce platform.. As a Software Engineer in Test you are responsible for developing test automation frameworks, tools and test suites using latest tools and industry best practices: Java 8, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, Jersey, Maven etc. We treat our test automation as a first class product, with development processes and code quality that rival or exceed those for our customer facing products.

You work side by side with the developers in one of the product development scrum teams, creating test automation and testing new features in our frequent product releases. Our products are based on Salesforce platform and you will be testing extensive REST APIs and the web application on mobile and desktop browsers as well as iOS and Android applications.

Our team is based in San Francisco and San Mateo, with a growing independent development team in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for test planning, new feature testing and test automation for one of the Vlocity products.

• Develop test automation framework components and test cases in Java using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Jackson library for REST.

• Write clear and detailed bug reports, participate in bug discussions and follow them to resolution

• Always have a pulse on the quality of the applications you own and assist management with go/no-go decisions

• Work in an agile, rapid development and prototyping environment where effective communication is paramount.

• BSc in CS, EE or equivalent experience required.

• 5+ years of experience in software development or writing complex test automation for enterprise applications.

• Strong programming and SW design skills in Java, C# or other OO language.

• Experienced in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, OO design, code reviews etc.

• Experience in front-end web application test automation (e.g. Selenium WebDriver) and REST API testing.

Bonus Points For

• Experience in performance testing.

• Experience in security testing.

• Experience in CRM, Force.com and the SalesForce1 platform.

• Experience in testing of mobile applications, preferably on both iOS and Android.
