We are recruiting HUSTLE and HUNTER mentality individuals for a Medical Device Sales Representative position with a world leader in medical technology. This position is in Indianapolis, IN. This is a direct-hire opportunity - no fees ever come from the candidate.
Job Description
- Generate new sales: Develop leads, recruit new surgeons, qualify prospects, and make sales calls.
- Aggressively seeks new customers and formulates and follow plans for such action as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Calls on customers and prospects; provides technical, marketing, and administrative product information and demonstrations; quotes appropriate customer prices. Particular focus on orthopedic and neuro spine surgeons, spending approximately 80% of work time meeting with them in a hospital setting.
- Develops relationships with surgeons, and other appropriate personnel within the spine product environment.
- Implements approved marketing strategies.
- Remains informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers; monitors and gathers information on competitive activity.
- Recommends the additions of new products and the modification or deletions of present products to the line as appropriate.
- Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
- Provides regular monthly and timely feedback on a variety of topics including sales performance/penetration, market feedback, competitive activities, new target accounts, ideas regarding sales growth and new product development opportunities.
- Manages and maintains a sample inventory of products.
- Meets or exceeds sales quota and increases total company market share in assigned territory.
- Travels to all accounts within assigned territory, as directed by Company Sales Manager, will be necessary.
- Acquires clinical competency skills with all Company products to assure role of sales expert in an elite sales force. Surgical case coverage is required, with the goal of providing the highest degree of value to surgeon and patient.
- Fully knowledgeable about the anatomy and capable of effectively explaining after the completion of sales training.
- After two weeks in the territory, able to describe the anatomy of the spine and anatomical landmarks necessary to instruct a surgeon on the use of Company products.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Accustomed to working independently with a high degree of accountability.
- B.S. in Business/Marketing or Biological/Physiological Sciences, or equivalent working experience in the medical device field required.
- Minimum of one (1) year and maximum of five (5) years of medical device sales experience.
- Proficient and accurate with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), charting, flow charting, and graphs.
- Competency in navigating the Internet.
- Must have account management skills, including problem-solving, customer relations, budgeting.
- Experience in Spine a plus but not required
- Valid state driver's license required.
- Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical and ability to sell a new device or procedure.
- Must adhere to company policies and conducts all business in an ethical manner.

- Must understand and able to execute how hunt new sales and developing solid customer relationships.
- Must live in desired home base of territory.
- 4 year degree a must (no exceptions).
- Resume reflects Job Stability vs. multiple jobs ( no job hopping).
- MUST BE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED or no more than 8 weeks out from last day of work.
- Must have a STRONG drive and desire to take on a developed territory and maintain AND GROW the business to beyond quota.
