Job Description
The ASIC Group, located both in Omer and Kfar Saba, is part of a worldwide organization responsible of delivering custom ASIC for NAND based storage applications like SSD, USB, SD for various markets such as consumer, automotive, and enterprise.
The ASIC-IP design and verification group is responsible for definition, design, verification, and support for all complex IP that build each SOC done on Western digital for all segments. Strategic IPs are developed to all areas from retail, iNAND (cell phones, and client solution) through Client SSD solution and Enterprise SSD.

Responsibilities
- Create automation for design flow, testing, and regression analysis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to optimize ASIC workflows and ensure seamless integration.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance design productivity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tool and infrastructure-related issues.
- Identify development process bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.
- Document workflows, tool usage, and automation processes.
- Provide training and support to engineering teams on infrastructure usage.
- Participate in development and support current infrastructure and automation code (ASIC script, Jenkins, dashboards).
- Participate in implement new generation of ASIC automation tools with new methods leading in industry.
- Develop and maintain backend components of web applications, focusing on server-side logic and database interactions.
- Design software solutions using object-oriented principles and patterns.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices.
Qualifications
- 3rd year Computer/software/Electrical Engineering student.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, csh/sh/bash, Python, perl - advantage.
- Familiarity with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases. - advantage.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Completion (or attending) Digital design, logical synthesis and/or verification methodology courses - advantage.
- Familiarity with revision control systems (Git, Perforce) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Desire to learn and contribute, result oriented and self-motivated.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
- Great communication skills and fluent English, both verbally and written, and an ability to collaborate across cultural and organizational boundaries.
