Job Description

Specific Experience

Crown Consulting is looking for an experienced and dynamic program manager to come join our team and lead our efforts supporting the FAA in the safety analysis area, leading a team of engineers, analysts and scientists who help the FAA in collecting and analyzing safety information. This is an exciting, challenging and innovative position where the right candidate must exhibit exceptional organizational and decision-making skills, strong financial and resource management skills and a demonstrated track record of managing other leaders.


As the program manager, you will be directly responsible for program decision-making to achieve established financial performance, customer satisfaction, and program/company objectives. In addition to running one of our most important programs, you will also own the future success of the program, and ensure new business opportunities are identified, pursued and won. Existing business must be grown by working with the customers to add incremental business.

Qualifications

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide an oversight and leadership in all aspects of program management to include adherence to contractual requirements and deliverables; act as the primary point of contact to the FAA Aviation Safety group for all contract matters, and performance of personnel assigned
  • Identify performance gaps (operational, training, etc.); develop and implement repeatable, sustainable processes to increase operational efficiencies. Assure teams or departments operate in an integrative and collaborative fashion. Ensure staff is trained and able to assume selected roles various departments and teams.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop client relationships based on value and personal interactions by exceeding client expectations throughout the project. Perform regular external and internal Q/A reviews. Obtain a top rating on all government Project Assessment Reports. Regularly solicit client feedback on team performance.
  • Organize, manage, and lead contractor employees in the performance of the task orders described in the Statement of Work (SOW). Determine client requirements and translate requirements into operational plans.
  • Identify and assemble the appropriate resources to meet project needs and requirements; manage sub-contractors.
  • Plan, track, and report labor requirements and hours, and identify the critical path to manage Earned Value for each task; track and manage funding and expenses; as well as problem tracking, reporting, and resolution.


Desired Skills:

  • 15 years of management and supervisory experience required.
  • A minimum of 10 years successfully managing/supervising projects.
  • FAA/Aviation experience with a focus on Aviation Safety/Safety Management Systems, Aviation Safety Databases, Aviation Safety Operational Modeling/Data Analytics
  • Experience in Risk-based Decision Making
  • Leading and directing others, proven leadership and experience in effectively engaging and motivating experienced staff and independent contractors.
  • Develop the staff and team; effectively delegate, teach, train, coach and counsel.
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of government regulations and the development of plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
