ProSidian Seeks a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist | Cultural Resources Field Guides [FPAC011016] Engagement Team | Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer DS111 Labor Category - Mid Level Exempt[1099] Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541620 located CONUS - Charlotte, NC Across The CONUS Region supporting The FPAC Business Center is a first-of-its-kind organization at USDA, combining the talent of employees from all three FPAC agencies into specialized teams that serve employees and customers across the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Risk Management Agency (RMA). This new business approach helps agencies improve operations and efficiency at USDA and boosts support for America’s farmers, ranchers and foresters.
Seeking Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist candidates with relevant Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Clients such as FPAC. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist | Cultural Resources Field Guides [FPAC011016]
The GIS Specialist is tasked with developing and managing spatial data that supports the identification and mapping of cultural resources in the project regions. This includes creating detailed maps, analyzing spatial relationships, and integrating GIS data into the field guides. The specialist works closely with the project team to ensure that geographic information is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively used to enhance the utility of the guides.. A Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist designs, develops, and implements systems and databases to access and store geospatial data. GIS specialists design digital maps using geospatial data and analyze spatial and non-spatial information.
