Job Description
- The SHOP QA/QC Manager position is accountable to the GM to ensure that all equipment is validated prior to release to operations.
- Equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications, industry standards, customer requirements and Rawabi United Safety Preventive maintenance inspection and test program and standards.
- Overall management of QA/QC processes and personnel including performance management activities.
- Identifies the work that is required to be formed, develops work plans and work schedules and activities including the execution of the work (monitoring and controlling the outcome) follow-up, assessment and improvements.
- Follows existing/establishes addition KPI’s and metrics for the Shop. Adjusts tactics to adapt to the changing demands and priorities.
- Interfaces with Operations Management and Supply chain management and Engineering R&D for new product development and launch.
- Ensure equipment inventory in/out and control mechanisms are utilized, Oracle SCM, and other established inventory asset management systems utilized.
- Monitor and control equipment received and dispatched from the shop.
- Implement the incident/non-conformance reporting, investigation, corrective and preventive action process and continuous improvement.
- Other duties may include travelling to field project locations providing technical support as required.
JOB DUTIES
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform equipment inspections, tests, calibrations and servicing. Conduct cleaning, disassembly and inspection, repairing and replacing all worn, damaged or faulty components record all results in accordance with the manufacturer. Appropriately segregate all faulty equipment; identifying non-conforming products of equipment; identifying the limitations of the equipment and abuse that it has sustained by an improper application.
- Equipment Inventory and Distribution: Maintain daily/weekly inventories as required. Ensure all equipment serial numbers/tag numbers are documented on equipment sheets prior to release and verified up return. Organized equipment sheets into client files for easy reference. Meet customer equipment needs and demands through the SHOP QA/QC Manager /operations management on an ongoing basis.
- Document and Data Control: Maintaining appropriate records management, including; recording and maintaining equipment inventory; maintaining equipment distribution log (in/out disposition); maintaining equipment maintenance log and bump tests/calibrations; initiating incident reports for non-conforming/missing equipment and reporting incidents at the end of shift.
- Communicate Effectively: Including; equipment documentation; record keeping and report writing; dealing with clients, co-workers and field representatives.
- Exercise Interpersonal Skills: Including; working with others and representing the company; interacting with clients, co-workers; dealing with and trouble shooting situations.
- Works Safely: The individual practices and applies all safe work procedures, including; United Safety’s policies and procedures; manufacturer’s specifications; regulatory standards; customer standards.
